Apama Childers

“As far back as I can remember I have wanted to be a nurse. As a young girl, I read every nurse book I could get my hands on.”

Apama “Pam” Childers is a physician’s assistant in the Urgent Care Center. She is active in pediatrics and women’s health as well. In 1997, Pam became part of the Drummond Medical Group team.

PA Childers received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. After retiring from the Navy, PA Childers secured a job at the High Desert Medical Clinic. Pam brought ten years of experience to DMG after working at the High Desert Medical Clinic.

Pam is a Mother Advisor to the local Rainbow Girls Club, getting involved to support her twin daughters in the program. PA Childers is an active member of the Optimist Club in Ridgecrest. Optimists have the unique flexibility to serve the youth of their community in any way they see fit. Optimist Clubs see a need in their community and react to it. In addition, Pam fits in time for her sorority, the Order of the Eastern Star.
